THE PROBLEM
Sightings and nest reports about the Asian hornet reach associations and municipalities through many channels today: email, phone, forms, social media. Photos and locations are incomplete in different ways. Every single one has to be reviewed, classified and tracked, mostly by hand.
Whoever spots an Asian hornet reports it with a photo and location via the HornetLog app — in seconds, no account needed. Associations and beekeepers can also embed a Hivora report form for sightings and nests directly on their own website. Together with detections from Hivora Sense bait stations, everything flows into the Hivora platform in a structured way instead of being scattered across inboxes.
Hivora Sense documents activity at the bait pot autonomously — no one has to stand next to it. On the platform, an AI pre-review triages incoming reports: likely an Asian hornet, or probably not. The expert assessment stays with the people who know.
Maps, hotspots and statistics show where things are happening. Nest reports — including those from the report forms on association and beekeeper websites — come in as tickets: regionally participating associations can take them over, coordinate the nest removal and document every step from report to removal. Data can be prepared or exported for official reporting channels.
